Meet the CEO

SHANIYAH GRAHAM

Shaniyah Graham, born and raised in Baltimore as the oldest of 20 siblings, experienced the realities of educational disparities from an early age, shaping her deep commitment to advocacy and change.

After graduating in 2020, she faced personal adversity, including the heartbreaking loss of her brother to gun violence. Rather than let grief define her, Shaniyah turned her pain into purpose by stepping into the world of education and mentorship. She began hosting grief seminars and developed the BRATZ program—an initiative designed to support, uplift, and empower youth. In 2022, she officially founded Baltimore BRATZ, providing trauma-informed care, leadership development, and mentorship for young people in the community.

As a paraeducator, tutor, and passionate community advocate, Shaniyah works daily to build safe, supportive spaces for students. Looking ahead, she envisions expanding after-school programming, launching the BRATZ Studio, and growing her impact nationwide—proving that healing can lead to transformation, and purpose can rise from pain.
